Free Hourly to Salary Calculator (Per Paycheck Too)
Enter your hourly wage to see what it works out to per year, per month, per week and per paycheck. Add overtime if you get it, and a rough tax percentage to estimate take-home pay.
It runs in your browser. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere. The numbers filled in below are a made-up example; change them to yours.
How the math works
- Weekly pay = rate × regular hours + rate × 1.5 × overtime hours.
- Yearly pay = weekly pay × weeks worked. At 40 hours and 52 weeks that's rate × 2,080.
- Per paycheck = yearly ÷ 52 (weekly), 26 (every two weeks), 24 (twice a month) or 12 (monthly).
- Take-home is only an estimate: yearly × (1 − your tax and deduction %). Check a real pay stub for your actual number.
Example (made up): $18 an hour × 40 hours × 52 weeks = $37,440 a year, $3,120 a month on average, and $1,440 every two weeks before taxes. With 20% withheld, that's about $1,152 per biweekly paycheck.
Overtime rules, unpaid time off and withholding vary by job and state, so treat this as a planning estimate, not tax or payroll advice.
Plan each paycheck
Once you know what each check is, the Paycheck Budget Planner ($7) is a spreadsheet that lists every paycheck for the year, assigns each bill to the check before it's due and shows what's left to spend or save. Weekly, every two weeks or twice a month. Works in Excel and Google Sheets.

We make this template, so take that into account. The calculator above is free to use either way.
