"Would you rather" is the easiest holiday party game there is: no supplies, no teams required, and it works for a classroom, a family dinner or an office party. Read a question, everyone picks a side (out loud, by raising hands, or by moving to one side of the room), and the best part is hearing why.

For kids

1. Would you rather ride in Santa's sleigh or have a pet reindeer?
2. Would you rather build a snowman or have a snowball fight?
3. Would you rather eat only candy canes or only gingerbread for a week?

How to play it as a group game

• Move to a side. Point to two sides of the room; players walk to their answer. Great for kids and classrooms.
• Pass the card. Write questions on cards; each person reads one to the person on their left.
• Points version. After each question, anyone in the smaller group gets a point for "thinking different." Most points wins a small prize.
• Make your own round. After 10 questions, everyone writes one of their own.
